YXZ Intake Shield Kit 2019+
The Dirt Launch Powersports YXZ Intake Shield Kit (2019+) is designed to improve intake performance while protecting your filter from heat, dirt, and debris.
Installing one of our DLP air intake systems is a great way to improve performance and power on your Yamaha YXZ. This intake shield kit takes it a step further by helping manage airflow and keeping your filter cleaner.
The system consists of two pieces:
The upper shield is designed to block heat from the rear-mounted radiator while pulling fresh air from the center console, similar to the factory airbox.
The lower shield is designed to fit around the factory coolant lines and block dirt and debris from covering your filter.
Custom formed from lightweight aluminum, this shield is built to protect your intake without restricting airflow.

Fitment
Important Notes
- Slight chassis variations may require mounting holes to be enlarged for proper fit
- Recommended to use blue Loctite or equivalent on all hardware
Installation Overview
Upper Shield
- Set lower half of upper shield on top of engine
- Install front mounting tab to factory airbox location
- Install lower mount using factory airbox mounting hardware
- Slide upper half into front slots
- Pivot into place and install bolts
- Secure passenger side to frame with cable ties
Lower Shield
- Install rubber grommets into lower shield
- Set in place and hand tighten upper bolt
- Center against motor mount and mark holes
- Remove shield and drill holes (9/32”)
- Install clips over drilled holes
- Reinstall shield
- Install step bolts and washers through grommets
- Tighten all hardware
