YXZ SS Billet Clutch Upgrade

The Yamaha YXZ Sport Shift clutch has been a limiting factor for higher horsepower builds. This upgrade changes that.

Through extensive testing, Dirt Launch Powersports developed a solution that allows Sport Shift YXZs to reliably handle over 200 wheel horsepower while maintaining proper clutch function.

Power Capability

• Stock clutch setups are limited around 200 RWHP and 135 ft-lbs
• This upgrade is designed to safely push beyond those limits

Available Options

Option 1 – Stock Clutch Basket

• Capable of 220+ RWHP
• Retains factory clutch engagement feel
• Uses stock clutch basket, friction discs, steel plates, and judder springs
• Includes billet pressure plate, heavy duty coil springs, clutch actuator modification, and MCU flash

Option 2 – GYTR Clutch Basket Option

• Capable of 300+ RWHP
• Requires GYTR billet clutch basket (add-on if not currently installed)
• Uses GYTR basket with upgraded billet pressure plate and heavy duty coil springs
• Includes clutch actuator modification and MCU flash

Parts Required From Customer

• MCU (transmission controller)
Located under the hood on the driver’s side

• Clutch actuator
Located above the transmission toward the driver’s side

How It Works

This is a mail-in service.

Send in your clutch actuator and MCU. We modify the actuator, complete the required updates, and return it with the additional parts needed to finish the upgrade.

Important Notes

• We do not accept core exchanges for the clutch actuator
• You must send in your existing clutch actuator for modification

Critical Installation Warning

Failure to bleed the clutch completely WILL result in clutch actuator failure.

Follow the Yamaha service manual for the bleeding procedure or have a dealer perform the installation.

Dirt Launch Powersports / Beyond Redline Performance are not responsible for actuator failure caused by improper installation.

Actuator Condition Requirement

Your clutch actuator MUST be in good working condition.

We are not responsible for electronic or mechanical failure of the actuator.

If any Dirt Launch Powersports mechanical components fail, we will take care of it.

We offer two options depending on your HP goals 

OPTION 1- Stock clutch basket option - Capable of 220+ RWHP. While keeping the factory clutch engagement feel. This kit utilizes the stock clutch basket, friction disks, steel plates, and judder springs. Only replacing the pressure plate and diaphragm spring with our new billet pressure plate and heavy duty coil springs, Clutch Actuator Modification, and MCU Flash. 

OPTION 2- GYTR clutch basket option ($1129.99 Add on if you do not currently have the GYTR Clutch) - Capable of holding 300+ RWHP. This option utilizes the GYTR billet clutch basket to hold maximum power while only replacing the GYTR pressure plate and diaphragm spring with our new billet pressure plate and heavy duty coil springs, Clutch Actuator Modification, and MCU Flash.
